American Idol on Front runner 2011

Now on the American idol the judges are seem to be digging to find who would be the outstanding constestants with this time. With so much talent on season 10 of American Idol – especially during Wednesday's killer rock performances – it's getting more and more difficult to decide who should stay and who should go. On Thursday, a thrilled Lopez told Pia Toscano that her performance of "River Deep, Mountain High" was "amazing," but she wanted to push her to study great female artists to fine tune her stage presence.

And judges' save recipient Casey Abrams debuted his stand-up bass on the big stage – a definite crowd-pleaser. Haley Reinhart, who's been in the bottom, came roaring back and impressed the judges again with her Janis Joplin number. Rocker James Durbin slowed it way down with a ballad, which Jennifer Lopez called "a great choice." Even the judges seem to be digging deeper to find ways of critiquing this crop of outstanding contestants.

"It's not that you're not amazing," Lopez said, "but just keep studying, keep researching, get greater." Meanwhile, Randy Jackson declared that multiple contestants are "in it to win it."
